winding down!

Well, its that time of the semester again! Things are becoming more hectic, students aren't getting enough sleep due to studying all night, White glove stresses many out... must be finals time! I have 2 finals starting Thursday; Human Anatomy and Sports Medicine Lab Final. The anatomy (thank heavens!) is a take home test, so I can use my book, internet, ect and take my time, and the lab should be easy if I can just remember the stupid special tests names! Then its General Conference this weekend, which should be amazing! I sooo cant wait! Its my favorite time of April! Then monday I have my regular sports med class final, tuesday I have my world foundations final, wednesday I have my book of mormon final, and thats also when mommy is coming up and we're going to pack all my stuff into the van, drive to IF and go see the body's exhibit, then at 7am Thursday morning Im going to take my psychology final, then leave by 10am at the latest to start the long drive home! I have half my stuff in boxes already, I passed my clean check, and now its just a matter of finishing the last of my regular homework and studying for my finals. Goodness, and throw in at least a few hours of sleep in there and we'll all be good! Can she do it without freaking? Probably not, but hey! In 1 week and a few hours, I'll be on the road home!

hmmm.... thats just life

Sorry I haven't written in forever! Time escapes you when you're having a ton of fun or are just extremely busy I guess! So Iceburg is finally back to being just Rexburg. The snow is all melted and I have grass outside my window. Although they predict snow for the rest of the week, We're all praying that doesn't happen. we like the sun and we want it to stay! I love wearing spring and summertime like clothes! I can't believe that I get to come home in 14 days!!! I'm soo excited! I just might start packing this week the things that I really don't need for the rest of the semester. Ive been doing a lot of hanging out with Heidi and the rest of the girls a lot lately. Cheer is finally done on Saturday- I'm sooo ready for it to just be done. Maybe because Im just ready to go home. Don't get me wrong- I LOVE Rexburg, but there is no place like home, my heart will always love Vancouver Washington more. Plus family is there, and family is the only thing that truely matters in this world! I got really excited on sunday when my brother Edward texted me and told me that he misses me and can't wait for me to come home. Melts my heart! we really are the best of friends! Well- I have to go finish the last of this weeks homework, and start packing because I have a girls date night tonight!

Life- nothing is better really

I cannot comprehend what could possibly make a person go so far as to take their own life. Especially when life seemed soo good for them! Senior year, 2 months away from graduation (where you never have to see some people again, and you can just leave your old life and start a new one), you're popular, you're gifted, and soooo many care for you. So an arguement starts, doesnt mean that death is possibly the better choice. Life is soo precious! I really just dont know how to comprehend how death can possibly sovle a problem. You'll just be hurting others more than just living. Problems can be worked out, death cannot. Sure, you get to have no more pain, you get to be in rest with our Father in Heaven, but really? what is he going to say? I have a guess... "what are you doing? what were you thinking? I had soo much more for you to do! I had sooo many more blessings coming your way!" Here's what a parent would say, "How could you? I gave you your life! You cannot take it away from me! from your friends, those who love and care for you!" Like it is said in my favorite movie of steel magnolias, "I'm supposed to go first." And like in Lord of the Rings, the Two towers, "No parent should ever have to bury their child". Even though we were not the best of friends, I still knew Avalon Ligman, and I know this; he was a VERY gifted singer, he was well liked by everyone that came into contact with him, He could always make you laugh no matter what, and he meant so much to a few of my friends. So Rest In Peace dear Avalon, and keep singing up there in Heaven! you will be very missed down here my friend!


Now People: It just takes a second for someone to be gone out of your life! Tell everyone how much they mean to you and how much you care! It just might save them! Literally! I still beat myself up for not calling Sister Glem the day before I left to come home for christmas break. So constantly tell them how much you love and care for people.

Another one down, 363 days to go!!!

So another year has sneeked up and come and gone. So now im 19- seems like just yesterday I was thinking how cool it was to be 18.. cuz well lets face it, something actually important happens on that birthday; when you turn 19, nothing really changes. So now im just waiting til my 21st birthday. But no rush. It was very different not having my birthday at home. It was weird, not having my family, not going out to dinner with them at Izzy's, not having my bff Alix there (since we've been to all 18 of eachothers bdays!!!) It was just an odd experience. Though my roommates were amazing by giving me 2 parties; which were a bunch of fun!!! Sooo much food and I loved the theme; PINK PRINCESS!!!! I got a barbie of Aurora from Jessi and Marissa. Love it!! Another barbie to add to my growing collection. I got 2 things of flowers; one from my parents and one from my good friend Fritz. Soo sweet. Thank you all who sent me card and such!!! I love getting mail, so it really made my birthday grand!!! see you all in 33 days!!!!
