Ok- so, even though my break has not turned out exactly how I wanted it to, its still been fun and good to me! Ive gotten to see my family- all of them! I had a marvolous christmas where I got a red toaster and mixer for my college dorm, got a new boyfriend (Jay Hamann) Ive gotten to spend quality time with most of my friends and the others we're working out days. So overall I'd say this break has been amazing! Sure, I had a funeral to go to, I had to go to the depths of hell (aka Max's house) to get a christmas present, but I made the best of them! I've also gotten to hangout with Jay a lot, went to menchies and panda with Alix and Emma, went to Ikea with Jessi, and have gotten to play in nursery with some of the cutest kids on the planet! Although I am ready to go back to my life out at BYU-I. I miss it soo much out there! I miss the people, the atmosphere, not the snow so much, but still. I miss my apartment and the independance I had out there! oh well, c'est la vie!

"Life is wonderful"

Ok- so this vacation started out suckish... and I was in the fullest intention to just moap around the whole time... but thats not what Sister Glem would have wanted, and I just know she'd find some way to smack me if I did. So I began thinking, "What would she do if it weren't her, but another person?" and "what can I do to help others who are feeling just as alone inside as me?" So today was the funeral, and I had every intention to make it as beautiful and grand as she was. A few of the talks got me crying, especially the ones that told her children that She loved them. I'm considered to be one of her "daughters" as her actual family says, so I took it to mean me too. Then, Me and a few choice YW (Mikyla, Paige Child and Carnahan, Brooke, Sariah, Lindsey, Mckenzie, and Breegan) all got up and sang "Tell me Why" which is her favorite song from Camp which she taught us her last year there. It was truely beautiful and had many in the audience crying. Then, at the end, as the cascett passed all of us who were sitting on the end row by the door, we all balling, Brother Glem passed and said, "see? she wants you girls to be the last to see her leave because she loves you the most." Not helping with the crying, just making it worse. Then, I went to the family grave site memorial, again, because I'm considered family and my dad was conducting. We then went back to the family luncheon. It was truely a great day, and I know for a fact that Sister Glem was there, crying from gladness, crying because she felt touched and knew how loved she was. At the funeral there were about 900 people there, and many more came to the viewing. Me and several other YW got a tad upset at the viewing; it just wasn't Sister Glem. The light was gone, which just goes to show that the body doesn't make up the person who you hold special, but the spirit does. It was just a body, laying there cold. Although we thought she should have been smiling! She always had a smile on her face, even when she was sad, for she knew better things were to come. She will surely be missed on this earth; so Jesus, you better come quickly! because I dont know how long I can live without my Mommy Peggy Glem here with me!
"I really think that dear God above, Created you just for me to love. He picked you out from all the rest, because He knew that I'd love you the best!" ~ Tell me Why

I will forever miss you and love you- My Hero!

Well- I can officially say that my life is in ruins right now! my hero- the person who can get me out of every little thing, the person who brought me back to truth and light, my true savior, the best women I've ever know, is gone from the earth forever until the resurrection. Can I please be selfish for a minute and say that I still need her here? Can I please say that her mission on earth is not yet done and over with? I dont care right now how bad she's needed on the other side- what about here? So many people here still need her love, support, her amazing hugs and listening abilities. I could tell that women things I myself didn't know or couldnt tell anyone else! What a way to start out a break. I can't breathe, I can't stop crying, and when I do, I start again. I'm so not looking forward to church tomorrow, because I know people are going to say things, and say the whole "im sorry- I know you guys were close and that she really did love you with all her heart." yes, thank you, I know she did. We were the bestest of friends you could truely be. she was my inspiration, my testimony, my lighthouse, and now thats gone. I'm sooo staying in nursery to hide from all the grown women, because I know that if I go to RS, I'll end up crying my eyes bloody, and have to leave from embarrassment. Sister Glem--- I love you soooo very much my darling, and I shall miss you! although I can't wait for the day when I can see you again and get one of our monsterous bear hugs!

As it comes to an end
As the semester comes to an end, I don't feel the way I thought I would. I feel very sad. Don't get me wrong, I so wanna come home and spend christmas with my family, but I've fallen in love with Rexburg and its people. I'm really sad that some of my closest friends are leaving and I will not see them next semester and there will be no more fun times. Sure, we'll write and such, but will I ever see them again? Maybe if I stay for Spring semester, or maybe they'll be in a class of mine next fall... I'm surely going to miss the wonderful girls and guys that I've met this semester. They've really influenced my life and have made a change for the better in me. And so to the good times; I shall never forget! To the good people; I love you and stay in touch! And to Rexburg.... please try and warm up a bit and SEE U LATER ALLIGATOR! I'm going home to WASHINGTON!!!!!!! WAHOOO!!!!!

5 more days!
Its totally weird, I love it here in Idaho, the independance, the people, the atmosphere, but I can't see myself celebrating christmas anywhere else than at home with my family in my house. I love the atmophere of my house back in Washington around christmas; it smells like sugar cookies, gingerbread, mommy's popcorn stuff, cinamon, and theres constantly christmas music going with singing and dancing. I love christmas with a passion! I love what it brings and how different people act. I wish christmas was all year round! I can't wait to go home and see everyone, but I just wanna be home for the holiday season! I wanna go see the lights with my family, singing and laughing and baking. GAH! 5 more days! Can she make it!?

FINALLY CLEAN!
So it took me about 4 hours to white glove my room, and another 7 to white glove my section of the kitchen. Thank heavens for Jay, he's such a beast! He helped me do the whole kitchen. What a guy! lol- then we took a good 3 hour break to watch ghost adventures and have back massages. Then it was back to work. Its amazing, this place looks better than when we moved in, and thats saying something, because it looked like garbage when we moved in.

Thou shalt not kill; but is it ok to beat?
GAH! I just have to keep reminding myself that its only a week and half left... just one week and half... 10 days technically... SOO MANY FRUSTRATING THINGS!!! Its not fair at all. You know when you let power go to your head and you pretend to basically be God, that you're better than everyone and that its your responsibility to a.)enforce the rules too much and far, b.) tattle tale all the time on people for things they didn't even do, c.)worry about other's souls before your own. I hate hypocrits; especially when you are on the boarder line of doing something, yet they call it "breaking the rules" and then they go and do the same thing or worse things and dont even think twice of it. Lets say, oh I don't know, you're on a date, and you're like me, a short person, so you have your legs up on the couch sitting on them while leaning on a guy (not laying! remember, you're totally sitting) and someone comes in yelling the 4 on the floor rule and that you're breaking honor code and that you'll have to go talk to the bishop, yet everytime they have their bf or fiance over, they never do the 4 on the floor rule. Or if they turn off the power to the apartment, so now you definitely are breaking honor code by being in the dark? Or telling you that due to a misunderstanding with a borrowing situation, that you are going to have to go to honor code classes for theft, and possibly be kicked outta school? People, I guess in a way thanks for caring that I keep my soul clean, but I think I can take care of myself without your help! Ive been doing a pretty darn good job of it for the last 18 1/2 years of my life. If I want or need your help with "saving my soul from damnation" I'll ask for it! Until then, i beg you, PLEASE stop!
You see my frustration now? Just keep swimming, 10 more days then the nightmare goes away! And I get to come home again for a few weeks! I am having a blast though with Jay, cody, liz, Christian, Heidi and Morgan! You gotta love them!

I can't really imagine my life without these people in it! Because I had such a fun experience this semester, I'm soo looking forward to next semester- so yes, I am going out for the cheer team again for the winter 2011 semester! It should be loads of fun! I'm just really sad that its all over now!

Really? What is this!?
ok- so on tuesday I was sitting in my American foundations class and I noticed that I had a very itchy rash starting on my hands. By the end of class it had moved up my entire arm. I really thought nothing of it, but decided that that night I would go to the store and buy itch cream and hopefully it would go away. By 7pm it had not only gone from my arms, but to my abdomin, legs, lower back, and my neck. I applied the cream everywhere and hug with Marissa, Jay and my roommates for the rest of the night. Wednesday morning I wake up in SOO much pain I start to cry! I got up and my face looked as though it was blown up 10x's its normal size; my eyes were so swollen I could barely open them. I called Marissa who took me to the campus clinic. There they assessed me and told me I was having an allergic reaction to something. I ran through everything I had touched, eaten and used. Nothing was different it seemed; yesterday was just a normal day! Jay came to the clinic as I was waiting for drugs, but I was too embarrassed to look at him, so he said that if I needed anything to call him (he's so sweet! you gotta love him!) So I went home and by 3pm it had gotten worse, so Marissa dragged me back to the clinic, where they put in an IV (the worst part of the whole treatment mind you!), and in 45 min I was looking better than before. It was getting better yesterday, and now its friday and my face is almost back to normal- theres no more swelling, no more itching, just redness on my face (which is fine with me! Rather have that then swollen everything!) But now the bumps and rash are starting again on my hands. I haven't touched anything that I did that day, and I've washed and scrubbed everything I own, so this is a complete mystery! We thought it might be a new allergy to peanut butter, or a lotion that I have, or even Sunny-D... but I have stayed away from all those things... So now I'm waiting and hoping that this goes away and stays away, at least until christmas break where I can go and get allergy tested for something that can explain this bizzar happening!
Other than that- life's been great! Last thing for cheer is tomorrow, then the Civil War game with my cheer people (GO DUCKS!) and then Jay and I are going to be hanging, as usual! Life here at BYUI is amazing!

Its good to be back!
I had such a blast this last week being home, but it feels great to be back in Rexburg! You know that feeling when you think you miss and want something soooo bad, then you get it and they you start to miss the thing you already had more? Thats basically how I was feeling. I missed home sooo much and then once I got there, even though I was constantly having a blast, all I wanted to do was go back to Rexburg. Its like my life here; I'm used to this place and the people. Don't get me wrong, it was wonderful to see everyone, but I guess I've just grown and stuff so much that I love this place and the people here sometimes more. Is that so wrong to say? This place is such a safe haven; when I went home, I realized all the "evils" that I had just been used to that now shocks me. Like smoking for example; IT SMELLS!!! Soooo not used to it because here no one does that! Its not around, and I like it that way! There's also no immodesty, or foul language! Its all sickening to think of what I was soo used to hearing, smelling and seeing that now repulses me down to the very core. So like I said, I'm GLAD to be back in Rexburg! Even if it is just for 3 weeks!

I'm HOME!!!
So after the bus ride to salt lake, and then the airplane ride, I'm finally home. Cried when I saw my parents- told myself I wouldn't, but my tear ducts had another idea in mind. I was just super excited! Then I went to Union for the day, saw mostly everyone (I had no clue I had that many friends or that I was that nice to people that they'd remember me!) Then I had Fritz come over to my place, hung for a while, then Alix and Paige came over and we hung for hours, having Fritz join us again til the late hours! Then yesterday Catherine (my catholic ball of mass) came over for the afternoon and we did a lot of catching up; I love her soo much! Then my family went to a winterhawks game with the cooks. It was an absolute blast! I loved it! It was great to see my bff Jeff after 2 years! We won the game 6-4 and there were loads of fights! It was super amazing! I loved going to church today and seeing everyone and spending time in nursery! Oh how I love the little people! And now there is white crap falling from the sky. I leave Idaho to get away from this stuff and what does it do? Follow me home... God, you have the sickest sense of humor EVER!

Things are lookin' my way!
Ok, THINGS ARE WONDERFUL! Not only do I get to go home in 12 hours, but I just got a 95% on my Human anatomy muscle test! I love my teacher Brother Eckersell, he is my angel! My Savior, He's truely the most remarkable teacher one could possibly ever ask for! I'm now sooo much more excited to come home! My break just got that much better! I'm now literally bouncing off the friggin walls because I'm sooo excited and ready to smell and see my Vancouver home!

And now we wait...
So the wait is on... you know how your mom always told you that a watch pot never boils? Obviously thats not true, but did you know that a watched clock never moves? Trust me, it doesn't go faster the longer that you stare at it. Even when you make yourself busy, it never moves faster or anything. I have been busy all weekend long doing all my science, math, and american foundations homework for this week and for the week after thanksgiving break, that way I can just have 2 chillaxed weeks without having to worry all that much! And so that I can just play during my break at home and spead time with the billions of people I know and love without having to worry or remember that I have homework to work on. Smart idea, no? It has been since friday, but I'm finally done with all homework, except I still have to study my muscles for my test on thursday; hopefully it'll be better than my bones test. Now that I know that its just me and my professor in a room together, I pray to God that I don't embarrass myself and that I do well without forgetting everything that I've studied! I hope that I do well, that way my thanksgiving break is sooo much better!

You really wanna know?...
Do you remember when your teachers said that the homework load in college was going to be the most difficult thing and the most frustating thing you've ever experienced? And your parents said that adjusting to the new grown-up lifestyle was going to be the most difficult part? Well both were total liers. The most difficult and frustrating part of college that most people just want to wrip their hair out because of is the registaring for classes part. I mean really- they make you get up at rediculous times, sit at a computer ready to type in all the class codes you want, and then your computer is running so slow because so many other people are up doing the same thing you are, praying to God that they get their classes and that they can have it be done quickly so they can get back to bed. I remember it was only like 4 months ago I went through this process for the first time; I sat up by the Child's computer from 11:30 to 6am then next day waiting for the computer to run faster. I was lucky then in getting into all my classes; I thought that since I got to registar earlier than the other freshmen since I came to BYUI already with 6 credits that it would be easier. And it started out that way! I got on quickly at 6am, had all my classes typed in at 6:01, hit the ok button, then it started giving me that slow running and said it was no good please try again by typing all classes one at a time, needless to say I think I'm going to be here for a very long time again, and I'm praying my heart out that I'll get all my classes, but then again, so are all the other AP early registaring freshmen!

Ready? Set? GO!!!!!
That's basically what it feels like in the morning. You get all ready to go to class, then you know its cold outside, so you basically are trying to walk/run as fast as you can without slipping and falling. It's very cold here, and the snow is on and off, but its still piled high on cars and the lawn. Then I'm busy trying to study for my American Foundation's test which is tomorrow (AH!!!!) and my Human Anatomy exam which is next Thursday, all so I can come home next friday morning. Don't get me wrong, I'm so ready to come home, its just that there's so much to do and study for and so little time that its sometimes overwhelming. But looking at the positives, the last day of classes this week is tomorrow, then my more stressful part of the week is overwith. Then I just have to schedule my classes on friday, do the game on saturday, and then I'll just be a 5-4 days away from coming home and seeing all the ones I love dearly! Can life get any better? I think not!
BTW: Bro, a car CRASH is worse than a stupid FENDER BENDER!!! Don't you ever scare me like that again- do you understand!?

It's the MOST WONDERFUL time of the YEAR!
Oh my goodness! life is good! no, life is FANTASTIC!!!! I get to go home in 10 days, I got an 80% on my last anatomy exam (YAY!), and its SNOWING finally! I'm sooo excited! This means snow ball fights, curling up on the couch with a blanket and hot coco, and oh! I just love life! This is sooo amazing! I love everyone! Sure, I'm still upset that the titans lost the game last friday and that I won't be able to go to practices, but that just means that I get to go to weight lifting class and such. I have sooo many plans for when I come home! It's going to be so much fun! Since its snowing, it feels like christmas, so I have christmas music going (don't judge me! Its the best holiday in the whole world!) and I'm starting my lists, and ya. Life is just Fantastic!

Oh My Goodness!!!
Ok- so I thought that I hated the roller coaster that I'm constantly on of highs and lows, but I find that I like it when I'm at the top or headed there! Its soo much more fun!!! Of course life is always like a roller coaster, so I should just stop looking at the negatives and start looking at the highs and pros. Anyways- cheer is AMAZING! We did so many cool stunts and such yesterday, and I love my team! they are all sooo amazing! Makes my heart smile when I'm around all of them! (PS:Christian you're my hero for saving my life yesterday! Thanks for not letting me die under those stunts!). School is going... I'm hopefully going to talk to my Anatomy teacher today; hopefully we can do something to fix my grade. All is well in my apartment again, at least its getting better than it has been. Jeff comes home from his mission today- has two years already gone by? Goodness that was fast! Anyways, then I only have 22 days til I come home, don't say 3 weeks cause that makes it seem farther away.. so its 22 days. Oh, and yesterday--- IT SNOWED DIP AND DOTS!!!!! No joke, no lie! Thats what they looked like! of course now it's not snowing, just freezing, but hopefully (figures crossed) itll start again soon so theres actually a reason for it being this cold!

unsure
Im so not even sure of what to do anymore. Ever since I got to BYUI its been a rollercoaster ride- one to make any person vomit from the amount of drama ups and downs. My friends think its fine to go behind my back and try and be sneaky when obviously a.) I would figure out what they were really doing on my own. b.) wouldn't care what they were doing because I have plans and a life of my own... so they could have told me and I wouldn't have gotten upset. Then I am failing the one class I HAVE to pass in order to achieve a spot in the nursing program, my life long dream! I'm so homesick that I cry at the drop of a hat, and Im not sure what to do because I love it here in Idaho, just hating how far it is from home, then mom says I should just come home and not go back winter semester and stay home and work. Although I would love to be home, I want to be here at BYUI... so here I am, puzzeled beyond belief!
3 days!

"WELCOME TO OUR FAMILY!!!"
So this is my college family! I love every single one of these peoples from the bottom of my heart. They are truely some of the best people ever... From just chilling friday-night movies, to our glee nights on tuesdays, to doing hair & Makeup, to cooking/baking cookies and popcorn, and to just plain having fun together at crazy parties; they are truely some of my very best friends. Our friendship will surely last forever! Today we threw Morgan her 17th "Welcome to America" party, then went to the haunted mill for FHE... scary as ever! worse than scream at the beach, but still fun I guess

Live and Learn
Well, today was our second cheer performance, and we did awesome! But the funnest part was going to AppleBees with the team! Christian and Big Mike are soooo much fun to be around! They are just sooo funny and so much fun! You have to love them! Then one of my bff's got engaged... fast, I know, but this of course being BYU-I-do, its no suprise. But the reason that this is titled "live and learn is because I have new pictures of things that I am learning to do while living on my own, with the help of my roommates of course. I'm learning to do dishes, and making cute cakes w/out my cake decor stuff, and change vacuum bags, and make popcorn not in a bag, and burn popcorn, along with many other things! Hope you enjoy!
