My dearest Kevin... I will miss you the most!!!

So today was the last time that I will see my Bff Kevin Roberts for two years!! He leaves for the Provo MTC Wednesday, and then he will be there for a few weeks, then go to Mexico! So at least I can practice a little bit of what spanish I learned in high school with him besides Hola and como estas? Muy bien y tu? ya, thats about all the spanish I remember besides those words which you would never really use, like pencil sharpener and toast... ya no... So we went hiking on the 8th, but then he had to go because we were going out to celebrate my daddy's birthday... but today we went to his farewell at his house. It was sad to leave, knowing that I can only hear from him in our letters that we will be writing for the next 2 years. We figured out that if we write once a week, that'll be 104 letters, but I think that we'll be well past that when he gets home. So, my dearest Kevin Roberts, I will miss you most... see you in 2 years for our next hike together my friend! Love ya!

How do they do it?

I really don't understand how Grown-ups manage everything! Like I said, I'm in my last few weeks of my 14 credits online, and having 3 jobs, and trying to do all my necessary chores, and trying to have time to hang out and do things I want to is soooo tiring!!! I have come to quickly find out that being an adult isnt all its cracked up to be. Overall, there are those very small moments of time that it rocks, but mostly, it sucks; I'd soo rather be a little kid again. Everything was so simple back then- you play all day, you take naps, and play some more. You didnt have to worry about laundry, homework, whether your car has gas, you didnt have to buy things yourself, you just asked mom and daddy for everything, and when you saw the sun beaming outside, you could just freely go out and play in it. Sure, you wanted to drive, to make your own decisions and not have to listen to mom or dad, and date the boys, so you spent your whole life wishing to be older. Then, once you became the adult you wanted to be, you look back and realize how great you had it. Now, you're sitting at a computer, looking outside wanting to go play, but you have a pile of homework that has to be done by thursday night, you have laundry and errands to run and do, your room to clean, and you just think, "why on earth would anyone want to get old?"

BTW: there's only 80 days til I leave back for Idaho!!!! I'm excited to be getting back to my friends and that small town that I know and love so much. It is sad to think that time has really flown by here at home, but at the same time I'm ready to get back to doing things my way; making my own choices and following no ones rules but mine own.

It's been too long!

Sorry!!! I do love y'all, but life is just not getting any easier as time here at home continues. Having 4 more weeks of my 14 online credit classes, and 3 jobs, while still hanging out with all my friends while being at home isn't everything I hoped it would be. I love being home, but it's no fun being an adult. There are days I just lay in bed, KNOWING that my list of things isnt getting any shorter, but hoping that maybe if I just continue to lay there, then time will reverse itself and I'll become that young kid again, where everything just seemed simpler and easier; why do we want to grow up so bad? I know I know. We wanna drive, we wanna date boys, we wanna get married. It's like that Kenny Chesney Song "Dont blink" because like the song says, "just like that you're 6 years old and you take a nap, then you wake up and you're 25..." sooo true! Life just flies on by you! You dont think so at the time, but then you go to your friends graduation and you can't believe its already been a year since you walked across that stage... Or your middle school goes basically outta business and you think that just yesterday you were attending there. To all teenagers and kids out there that think being a grown up is cool, you're right, it does have its advantages, BUT STAY YOUNG AS MUCH AND FOR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE!!!!!

But I have had some adventures; not much, but still. I just can't wait til spring semester is over with! Never again will I take online classes in subject I suck at!!! NEVER!!!

WHAT a weekend! Good Gracious!

Ok- so the Hawks had two games this weekend. So what do we do? OF COURSE- we go to both of them! The friday game we had seats that were literally like 4 rows from the ice. It was amazing being that close! Great game too! We won in Sudden Death OT. Oh gracious I swear I have never been sooo excited for hockey in all my life! I took my "sisters" Sydney and Alix to the game, it was incredible!!! So much fun! seriously! Then, Saturday, Me and the boys went to the game, and we had opposite seats of where we were the night before. Now we had nose-bleed seats. But I think it was better, because you could see the whole ice rink and everything that was going on. But yet it was the most unfair, crappy, paid off game ever. The second period wasnt even hockey! The refs were down right AWFUL!!!! Yes, you know you're a bad ref when the ENTIRE stadium is shouting and chanting, "REFS YOU SUCK!" over and over and over again! Bad form on their part, but when we were down 3-6, and the beginning of the 3rd period we scored 2 goals one right after another, it kinda made it all better. Though we lost, we won in a morality game, because we played fair and by the rules, and even though most of the game we spent on the ice with 3 guys, we won in spirit. There are 2 games in Canada, and then Friday is a home game, which of course, I am planning on going to. It should be SOOO MUCH FUN!!!!!

Now in other news. This week I have like 4 dates lined up one right after the other. Should be interesting. So now I have to finish all my homework by tomorrow, because I have a date Wednesday through Saturday. Gracious! So much work, so little time! I've been working all day, and I have 29 assignments left. Yes, that does tell you how many I had at the beginning of my day today (granted it was 1045am when I got up and started working), but I started out with 45... so I call that progress for one day, and I'm still not done for the night! So muahahaha!!! I'll probably stop working and go to bed like I do every other night at like 1am. But hey, that's the life I lead! Today, my goals were to finish D&C, Nutrition, and English. Tomorrow, world foundations and Bio-statistics. Wednesday morning, whatever I didnt finish! Then starts my weekend full of boys, hockey, and fun!

staying strong!

So there really hasn't been time to get bored yet. Overwhelmed, maybe. But bored? Never! The homework keeps piling up, which makes me frustrated. I don't remember EVER having this much work to do when I was in Rexburg! Then, my Grandma Barber is getting worse in a sense, they found another tumor in her esophagus yesterday. But, we had fun at the beach last weekend, which I think was good for her. I just keep thinking, "CRAP! What if I get that?" But then I really have no time to dwell on that because I have homework, work, and I have to squeeze in time to see my friends and sleep! GAH! But! My winterhawks won, so they play this friday and saturday! Which I really wanna go with my parents only! That'd be super cool! Here's pictures from the last game we went to!

What a weekend!

So this weekend was Grandma Barber's birthday, and since it may/may not be her last one (I believe in Miracles and a God of them) some of the Girls in my family decided that we would go down to the beach for the weekend. It was sooo much fun and we had a blast! It was Me, my mom and grandma, Shelby, Meagan, Heather, Karen and Caleb (yes we brought one boy!). It was Gorgeous weather the entire weekend! BLUE SKIES, 64*, lovely! Yes of course I went and played in the ocean, you know me. It was great to just hang out with the family! I don't think any of us wanted to leave.

Home again!

So once again I am home. Its great to be home! The sun is shining, I've gotten to see everyone from Church, went to Union today to say hi and see all my teachers whom I love dearly, my room is all unpacked expect for one box which just has random stuff that I don't know where to put. But its wonderful to be home! Emma Spurlock might have found me a job at fred meyers, so that should make my parents happy and stop gripping at me about it. We went to the beach the day after I got home, which was way cool. Now I just have people asking me when "we're gonna hang" to which my schedule is quickly filling up, but that should just be temporary (I hope!. I got a calling the sunday I got back to be in nursery, since you know, my daddy just knew I'd go there anyways instead of RS... lol. Love my daddy! So I'm not tired of the 'couve and everything yet... but give me a few weeks and I just know I'll be missing Rexburg dearly!
